The plan required a three person scan team. The scanned data was processed and modeled at InteliSum, then returned back to the team at Lockheed Martin for presentation the next day.
On January 7, 2009 ISI scan team leader Aaron Burrell arrived at the facility where the scanning would be conducted. The other members of the scan team included John Brown and Josh Taylor of CH2M Hill strategic partner, who acted as subcontractors, and Louie Bush of Entrix, strategic partner who acted as on site customer service. The team prepared the room for scanning with a site walkthrough and by setting up targets in the environment. Two scans were completed that evening and sent via internet to InteliSum headquarters in Salt Lake City.

The team returned at 7:45 the next morning and completed the scanning before noon. By 2:45 all of the data was registered by ISI and returned to the scan team.
By 7:00 AM the next morning the two teams had collaborated on how to use the models in a presentation meeting to Lockheed Martin, the post processing was done, and all of the desired 3D modeling in the environment was completed. At 11:00, the data was included in a presentation to the client.

From preparation to presentation, the entire process took less than 48 hours. The time breakdowns were as follows:
• Preparing the site - 3 hours.
• Scanning – 6 hours
• Registration – 2 hours
• Planning/Collaboration – 1 hour
• Post Processing and 3D Modeling – 11 hours
A project with this level of detail is projected to take up to 12 months without LD3 Data.
